Onderwerp: Silly question

No idea if I over thinking this. I have the funcakes mix voor biscuit. It says 220g mix voor een 20cm taart. Als ik twee taart lagen wil hebben most ik dan 440g mix gebruiken ov deel je de 220g door twee? No idea if this makes sense

Re: Silly question

If you want a stacked cake you'll have to bake two cakes. One bigger than the other.
If you want to layer your cake for filling, you'll bake one cake and cut that cake into layers and put frosting in between the layers.
Hope this makes sence to you. Good luck...

Hi Mirzan, thanks for your help, my question is more do I then use 220 g of mix or 440g of mix for the two cakes?

Re: Silly question

Dat hangt van je maat cake af :)
Wil je er 2 van 20cm, dan gebruik je 440 gram.

Maar het zal wel iets van suiker zijn - Bløf

Fair *D  so......if I want a cake 8cm tall in total do you think I can get away with splitting the 220g of mix between two cake tins?

Re: Silly question

 Ik denk dat het nèt te weinig is, zou ietsje meer doen, bijv. 235 gr mix, 180gr ei, 24ml water :Y

Re: Silly question

If you use 220 gr you'll end up with a cake 20 cm and about 6 cm high (if you mix really well).
This should be tall enough to cut in 3 layers.
No need to put another cake on top.

Good luck!

Re: Silly question

ladies,

many thanks for your help!

Re: Silly question

do you want a sandwiched cake, like a victorian sponge cake? I would use a bit more anyway, as I like my cakes high.
4 eggs, 65x4 (260) mix plus 26 ml water. at least...

I never met a calorie I didn't like....
