Multiple times we advised you to set the forum in English. Then you can see the categories in English. The moderators are not here to put every topic from you in the right category, especially if you can read it yourself when you set the forum-language in your own language.

Re: Help please....

Jayne, i can recommend the Google Chrome browser. Every time you visit a site that's in a foreign language it translates the site for you if wanted. It works very well!

It is set to English, but the forum does not turn to English, only certain parts of it....and i must say i dont like the way you speak to me, this isnt the first time either on the forum or by email you have spoken to me in this manner...i  apologise for being English and think its about time i left this forum as it seems i am a problem for you all...you try living in a foreign country where you have to depend on others..its incredibly hard and this forum is a light relief sometimes........
This is the site in English...well a few words

Jayne, don't go! May be there is a simple explanation why your site is not completly in English, hopefully chrome browser is the solution!

The moderators are very busy with this forum, i don't think we even want to know how much work it is for them to organize everything behind the scenes. And if the see everytime the same mistakes and it doesn't change despite their comments, than i can understand there reaction. But then again, may be it is because the don't see what you see on your screen.

But don't leave together you can solve this problem!!

Pff my English is not what it used to be. One reason more to stay so that we can work on our English and you on your Dutch  ;) !

Re: Help please....

Ive tried Dutch for 4years and i just cant get it...ive tried and tried to the extent i got ill over it...i spend hours putting things from this forum into the translator and it still sometimes diesnt make sense...i dont take part as much anymore cos i feel some peoples frustrations, some (most) are really kind and even email me with replies which is lovely...but i do try...
The only part of the site that comes up Englsih it the top part everything else is Dutch, which is fine as its a Dutch forum, i dont expect different treatment at all.If i am the only English person here, then i can only do what i do already and that is struggle as i do with my daily life also...
Thanks for your comments and your English is 100%

Re: Help please....

@ Jayne, excuse me!!! I really thought that de category titles were also in English!!!! That's we I reacted that pissed off! I'm sorry  :o
I have no idea if we can change that.... I think not, otherwise Marianne has arranged that allready.

Ferther, my reaction is also based on my opinion that I still find it kind of rude to be on a forum where they speak a foreign language for you and you demand that we answer your questions in your language.
For example, I wouldn't even dare to ask a question in Dutch in the forum of cakecentral.com. And if I opened a topic in the wrong section, do you think the moderators email me in dutch?? I'm for sure they don't.
You don't have to leave this forum, but don't play the victim... and I quote "And i thought i was but i cant read where i post for help...so i just wing it...and hope someone replies..." Because I know for sure that Jozien translated all of the category-titles for you in one of your topics. If you write them down and put them next to your computer, I think you will understand the forum a little more.

And if you're not sure if you posted your topic in the right section, then you can hit 'melden' (report) in your message, and let the moderators know you opened a topic and you're not sure if it's in the right place or something.

Re: Help please....

I have never ever demanded anything, and i never would and i take exception to that...
Before i started posting here i asked if it was ok for me to join in and was told that some people spoke English and that i would prberly get a reply in English as some liked to do that...where have you got that i demand anything....
Victim...i am not playing a victim at all, where does it state i am a victim, i was responding to your reply, and explaining how hard it is to navigate the forum, you have mailed me in the past and been quite rude in your mails to me and now you are doing it in the forum also...
Show me where i have demanded anything and i will apologise...

Re: Help please....

Ladies!

No need to bite at each other!

Please remember at all times that this is:
- a forum
- misscommunication is so easily created here since you lack essentials such as facial expression, body language, the tone of a voice etc.
- we are all here to learn from each other and
- help each other.

No need to leave, no need to react this way, imho. This applies to everybody not anyone in particular!

I am sure a great deal of this is due to somebody misunderstanding somebody else is trying to say, or 'misreading' it and thus creating a wrong impression............

Make love, not war!
Well, lets just say make PEACE, not war!

I meant with demanding, if you ask a question in English you logically demand a reply in English. That has nothing to do with your behaviour ore something.
And with victim, I meant that, you'll act like you are the victim of the forum's being Dutch.

Anyway, keep in mind that English is not my first language and I might use the wrong words and my story might be a little harsh to you. Thta's not something I meant to do, but I don't know how else to say it. But hey, I think you'll understand that it's hard to speak some other language other then you're own language, especially when you're a little P.O.

Re: Help please....

I think the language barrier has resulted in some, unmeant, slightly mistranslated words. I hope you stay. Tirza is a sweetheart, believe me! Language difference is tough in a discussion, particularly when it's a discussion that doesn't allow you to see each other and interpret tone and intention.

Re: Help please....

One thing i will say tho...
If i ask a ? in English as that is all i can do...so if people reply in Dutch then i will wait for my partner to translate for me...as some translator sites are really bad, so i get more confused trying to translate the translator...

23

Re: Help please....

I think you've experienced by now that many people on this forum are capable and willing to answer your questions in English, so that's not even an issue ;)

One tip I have though, other than using Glamour's translation to get the question in the correct category ( this  will really help the moderators :Y ): be clear in your topic title! Many of your question come down to "Please help!!", you agree? ;) This ends up being a bit off-putting, to tell you the truth :/
If your title is clear on what the question is about, you'll see that even more people will help you find the answer :)
