You need:
One piece of wood 40 x 40 cm
Instant wall filler
Normal paint in the color you like for background
Normal paint in the color you like for the cakestand
Silver food paint or normal paint for the cakestand
Fondant in the color you like for the cake
Fondant in the color you like for decoration
Silicone molds, flower cutters and pearldust
Work description:
Cut out the flowers in gumpaste or fondant with tylose. Frill the flowers and let dry in a curved cup.
Paint the wood and let dry.
Fold the template for the cakestand over the marked line and cut it out, fold open again and translate it with a pencil slightly on the painted wood. Use instant wall filler to fill the marked area stay between the lines in the cakestand but make it about 3-4 mm thick in a pattern you like. Use a brush, spounge of fingers for the look you like and let it dry. Once it is dry, you can paint it in the color you like and let it dry. When dry, you can drybrush it with a silver (I used silver on black) but also other colors can be used. Let dry again (if you have no patience like myself, use a blowdryer )
Cut out the templates of the cake layers
Lay the templates in line on the painted wood and with a pencil slightly outline the templates. This is just to mark the pace to place the fondant. You can also forget this en place the pieces of fondant free hand.
Roll out your fondant till app. 2-3 mm. Lay the cake layer templates over the fondant and cut out. Stick them on the wood in the marked area with a little water. Then you can decorate your cake as usual, the only limit is your own imagination. Use it for decoration examples in your store, for decoration in your cake space or use it just for fun
