hey,

I think i havent been very cleary with my question

The question is: can i make the cakes tonight? fill them up and cover them with marsepein and then leave in fridge til tomorrow night?

hopefully someone can help me out

No problem at all!
Just make sure the cakes have cooled off well enough before you start filling them.

mij lijkt het dat je ze niet hoeft in te vriezen, als je ze morgenavond wilt eten en serveren. bewaren in de koelkast is prima
en inderdaad zou ik de bloemen er vlak van te voren opmaken zodat ze niet zacht worden door de koelkast

Hallo,

I have to bake three cakes for tomorrow and since I am a student and have an experiment tomorrow, I dont have the time needed for decorating and making the cake. SO my question is:

Can i bake the cakes tonight? Like bake them, fill them and cover them with marsepein? I have heart that before covering the cakes with marsepein, i have to crumbcoat them with buttercream first. The method i have heard is:

Crumbcoat the cakes, leave in fridge til they become hard and then cover with marsepein/fondant.

Now I also heard that leaving the cake with the BC in the fridge for too long will moisten the cake and that is not good since it cannot be covered with marsepien.

2nd question: My flowers are made of fondant and gumpaste. So what i am going to do is add the flowers tomo before taking the cakes to the bday persons. Is this a good idea?

Thus overall question: Can i make the cakes tonight, cover them in marsepin and everything and leave in the fridge?

THe cakes will be delivered tomo night around 21:00 and eaten around 22:00

Hopefully u guys will help me:)

Btw I understand dutch so I wont mind if u guys write in dutch (its even better for me )
